How do you get your offer accepted in such a fast-paced market? Thankfully, it’s possible, and we have three simple tips that can help you become a homeowner:

1. Work with your lender upfront. You want to get fully pre-approved and even underwritten. If you do, your agent can submit an offer on your behalf that is all but a cash offer. Your mortgage professional should also call the listing agent and tell them how strong of a borrower you are.

2. Communicate more. Your agent should communicate with the listing agent and find out if the seller is looking for anything in particular for the offer. Some sellers want a fast closing period, while others want a long closing period to give them time to find their new home. We want to tailor our offer to what the seller wants.

3. Keep it simple. Don’t add unnecessary contingencies. Any contingencies could make the seller discard your offer, so you want to have as few as possible.
